SRK Posts New Parliament Video, Adding 'Swades' Touch With Voice-Over; PM Modi Reacts

Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan gushed over the new Parliament building in a video he posted. The new structure is being officially opened today, May 28. Prior to the official opening, SRK posted a video on Twitter that showed off the new structure and included beautiful descriptions of the Parliament. The title music of the movie was playing in the background while he spoke about the new building, giving the video a Swades touch.

“What a magnificent new home for the people who uphold our Constitution, represent every citizen of this great Nation, and protect the diversity of her one People @narendramodi ji,” Shah Rukh Khan said on Twitter after sharing the video. A brand-new parliament building for a modern India, yet with the traditional aspiration of Indian glory. Jai Hind, #MyParliamentMyPride.

PM Modi tweeted in response to the now-viral post, “Beautifully articulated! The brand-new Parliament building is a testament to the power and advancement of democracy. It combines the old with the new. #MyParliamentMyPride.”

Along with Shah Rukh, Akshay Kumar discussed the new Parliament building. “Proud to witness this magnificent new Parliament building. May this stand as a timeless representation of India's development narrative,” he tweeted. The prime minister responded, saying, “You have expressed your opinions extremely effectively. In fact, our new Parliament is a shining example of our democracy. It captures both the lively hopes for the future and the rich past of the country.

Rajinikanth, a famous actor from Tamil Nadu, also tweeted on the new Parliament building. “The scepter, a traditional symbol of Tamil authority, will shine in India's new parliament building. According to a rough translation of Rajnikanth's tweet from Tamil, “My heartfelt appreciation to the honorable PM Narendra Modi who made Tamilians proud.

On Sunday, the Prime Minister will dedicate the new structure, and the ancient sceptre “Sengol” will be positioned next to the Lok Sabha Speaker's chair.
