According to PM Modi, India is headed toward leadership in 6G technology

India is headed toward becoming a leader in 6G technology, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also said on Friday that the future is today.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-255355″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-according-to-pm-modi-india-is-headed-toward-leadership-in-6g-technology-download-2.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com according to pm modi india is headed toward leadership in 6g technology download 2″ width=”1038″ height=”623″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-according-to-pm-modi-india-is-headed-toward-leadership-in-6g-technology-download-2.jpg 290w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-according-to-pm-modi-india-is-headed-toward-leadership-in-6g-technology-download-2-150×90.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1038px) 100vw, 1038px” title=”According to PM Modi, India is headed toward leadership in 6G technology 6″>

This was said by PM Modi at the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) opening ceremony. “We are not only extending 5G throughout the nation, but we are also heading toward leadership in 6G technology. Regarding the spectrum allocation scandal under the UPA government, everyone is aware of what transpired during the 2G era. Even if 4G was extended throughout our administration, we remained untarnished. India will undoubtedly dominate the globe in 6G technology, in my opinion.

The future will be extremely different, he said, whether it is in the areas of telecom, technology, or connectivity, or 6G, AI, cybersecurity, semiconductors, drones, or space exploration.

After only a year of its introduction, around four lakh 5G base stations are operational. They are covering nearly 80% of the population and 97% of the cities, according to Modi.

The event was also attended by telecom minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, head of the Aditya Birla group Kumar Mangalam Birla, chairman of Reliance Jio Akash Ambani, and CEO of Airtel Sunil Bharti Mittal.

Speaking further, PM Modi mentioned the recent changes in the telecom industry and said that “Made in India” phones are being used all over the globe.

Google recently revealed that its Pixel phone would be produced in India. Both Apple’s iPhone 15 and Samsung’s Fold 5 smartphones are produced in India. The fact that cell phones made in India are now being used worldwide makes us proud, PM Modi stated.

He said, “India used to be a net importer; now it is an exporter.”

PM Modi said, “India has reached 43rd position in mobile broadband speed from the previous rank of 118.” He also stated that the NDA’s election in 2014 was not a specific year, but rather a “badlav” (change).

The prime minister said that the government’s top priorities are access to resources, finance, and technology while citing a number of government initiatives.

PM Modi gave 100 “5G Use Case Labs” to educational institutions throughout the nation during the event.
